One of the media outlets I found on the internet when
conducting a google search of Jeb Bush talks about how Jeb still thinks he’s
the better bet even though he is struggling in his campaign and in himself at
times. This story basically explains his stump speech when greeting veterans at
an old Coca-Cola manufacturing plant on Wednesday. However, the story explains
that this time there was something different about Bush where there was just as
many voters and the same amount of questions he is regularly asked. On this
veterans day it wasn’t about his failed remarks towards Rubio, but solely just
about Jeb and his love for his country that people really do admire I believe. “I
hope you want a president that loves his country and means it” Bush said during
his speech in three cities in the Hawkeye State. Although he may not have won,
the way he conducted himself and his performance was at the right standard and
what the people have long been looking for. This allows Jeb and his Campaign to
push forward even though they have been struggling.
The other half of this story that is important is the people
generating the news are Jeb Bush’s people as they react to the questions asked
by news reporters in how well they think he did. It’s important in finding out
what the people think especially the ones that are more on his side in terms of
what he can improve on and what he is doing well. Some remarks included “It was
his best debate yet” and “You did a great job last night, we need you in the
White House.” I think these are important remarks in boosting his campaign and
giving Jeb more confidence in himself. This media outlet really was backing up
Jeb compared to stories I’ve recently read about him so it is good to see he may
be making a change in all aspects of his campaign.
Another media outlet I found was also on the internet that
basically speaks highly of him regarding that same night and insists his
campaign isn’t doomed. This is true in the sense that there is still about ten
months for the people to rally behind as long as he makes great strides in his
campaign. The title of this story is “Jeb Bush feels he’s fixing it- he’s offering
chest-bumps in Iowa. Coming from CBS news I feel like this story is more
generated from the media and not as much as the people, which is also a
positive outlook for Jeb. He is being portrayed highly by everyone right now
for how he did on Wednesday night even though in the past few weeks he has been
struggling. This story is very beneficial in setting him in the right place
thanks to the media. Giving chest-bumps in my mind is fantastic and he is
really getting to the people in a positive manner. Hopefully we see Jeb do this
more in the next few weeks!

great post vickers, does jeb have what it takes to convince his supporters he's capable of leading the nation with such heavy family ties and political corruptness in his history as well? what do you think?
ReplyDeleteI think it is important that you highlighted the bias in the ABC News story. It is evident that the people they interviewed are already supporters of Jeb and his campaign.
ReplyDeleteJeb obviously has a lot of negativity following his family name, how should he go about removing himself form that connection in order to prove that he will be his own kind of leader and assure the nation that he has what it takes to be a strong leader?
